Beginners
Are you just starting out on the learning road?  Never been behind the wheel of a car or had a couple of starter lessons with parents/family?  Then this is just for you .
We will go to the nearest quiet area from your house e.g. car park, industrial estate etc. Making yourself comfortable in the car by adjusting the seat,  head restraint,  seatbelt and mirrors to suit.  Then learning the basic controls.

Hand Controls
Steering wheel, correct hand position. known as 10 & 2 or 9 & 3,  how to turn the wheel correctly.
Indicators, signalling left and right.  
Hand brake/parking brake.
Gear lever, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse.
 
Foot Controls
Accelerator (we will call it the gas pedal) Right foot
Brake- Right foot
Clutch- Left foot
There are other controls of course e.g. wipers/demister, rear heated window & lights.  These would be covered at a later date unless they are needed on the day.
You will learn how to set off and stop safely under control.
Usually, even on this first occasion, you will drive on the road back to where we started from
